Here are some answers to your questions about the return of your belongings. Some of this information is also relevant for the initial delivery of your empty boxes and carriers. We have tried to be as thorough as possible, but if you need further help, do give us a call.

How do I get my belongings back?

To return your belongings just follow these simple steps. It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3…

1.    Click the log-in button at the top of the homepage to access your account page. In your account you will see all of your boxes that are currently in storage (hello boxes!)

2.    Select the boxes that you would like back and request your return via the link. The standard return cost is £8 per box. This is included on the quote page on our website and also available in your account page. You can earn free returns the longer you store. 3.    You’ll then be asked to select your address and choose from our delivery options. Remember, someone will need to sign for the boxes so please make sure that you or someone you trust will be at home.

How long does it take to return my belongings?

We pride ourselves on our speedy return so, as long as you get your order in before 11am Monday to Friday, we’ll get your belongings back to you the very next working day.

What do I need to do on delivery day?

For both the delivery of your empty boxes, and the retrieval of your belongings, there will be an hour delivery window, which we will confirm early on the day of delivery. Delivery can happen at any time during this window, so please make sure that you or someone you trust are home for the full hour. Don’t leave the house. Not even to pop to the shop. We will need a signature to be able to deliver your boxes.

If you have a reception and you would like them to sign for you, please double check with them that this is possible, and don’t let them go to the shop either.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my delivery?

There will be a £10 charge if delivery is cancelled or rescheduled on the day and your belongings will be returned to our storage centres. You will need to place a new order online and will be charged again for delivery. We don’t like to charge extra so please let us know as soon as possible if you need to change your date.

Can I have my belongings returned to a different address?

Yup! A lot of Caboodle users are on the move. We are very happy to deliver your belongings to the ground floor of any address that you like within mainland UK. As long as there is someone there to sign for and accept the delivery, it’s no problem for us.

Can I collect my belongings myself?

Nope. You wouldn’t get past our tough security.

Can you deliver to my neighbour?

Of course. Just make sure you provide their name and address details when you request the return of your belongings and that they are available for the duration of your time slot. If you need to make changes to your delivery details, call us.

Who delivers my belongings?

One of our trusted couriers. They know what they’re doing. They will bring your belongings right to your door.

What happens if my belongings get lost?

Fortunately, this has never happened. However, if it did, then the contents of each of your boxes are insured up to £500 but make sure you read the T&Cs, as proper packing is essential for fragile items.
